About the project
Saint-Gobain Insulation generally works with Excel to support their Financial Planning & Analysis processes. However, they often encounter limits and face a number of challenges as a result such as time-intensive reconciliation exercises, limited reporting capabilities & less flexibility to perform scenario planning.
In 2022 the Saint-Gobain’s Finance Team started to invest into a future proof solution for FP&A. To make sure there was a step-by-step change management process within the organisation to adopt a new process and tool, Saint-Gobain chose, first, to implement it within one business unit (Insulation), and focus on Revenue Planning process.
Secondly, they teamed up with Numlix to roll out Anaplan and to ensure a gradual knowledge transfer of the FP&A tool towards the internal resources.
With the new FP&A model in Anaplan they are able to:
- Perform scenario planning
- Budget till margin level: revenue, COGS & transport costs for all their products (& customers).
- Involve the Supply Chain, Sales & Finance team during the budget exercise in 1 single planning tool
- Have real-time analysis of their budget figures
